Update on Diodon Call Signs from Don Messner

Jim,

2nd message - Diodon's voice call sign was "Fatman" when Hannifin was CO in 1955-57.

It changed when LO Smith took over the Conn in 1957. I think that call sign may have followed the CO.

The radio call sign was NKFH, but in 1954 it was Nan King Fox How. The phonetic alphabet was officially changed in 1956 so it became November Kilo Foxtrot Hotel.
 
Congrats on getting the Dolphin Base of USSVI formed in San Jose. The bay area only had the Mare Island Base until then.
