Admiral Sir Martin Eric Dunbar-Nasmith
VC KCB KCMG ADC
The admiral is taking the salute at HMS Fulmar (RNAS Lossiemouth) at the parade to comemmorate Taranto Night, 1954.
His wife is the lady leaning to her right. The commanding officer is hidden behind the platform and the first officer stands in front of the ship's chaplain, Padré Firth.
This picture shows that the admiral was not a tall man, but then he might not have been selected for the E-boat submarine mission if he had been! It was during this WWI mission that he won the VC. He is talking to the Captain of HMS Fulmar whilst Padré Firth shares a moment of fun with the ladies.
The Victoria Cross is very clear in this enlargement.
