Code of Conduct for Military Retirees
Developed on 12 March 1998,
by
Floyd H. Sears, MSGT, USAF, 1951-1971, (Retired)
using words from
The Code of Conduct for The Armed Forces of The United States
I am a retired American military fighting person. I served in the Armed Forces which guarded our country and our way of life. I was prepared to give my life in my country's defense. I will never forget that I was an American military fighting person, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will continue to trust in my God and in the United States of America, and I will continue the fight (verbally and in writing) to regain the medical care that was promised to the American Military Retirees before their retirement for as long as I live.

Hi, I’d like to nominate an additional resource to list on your site:
Many veterans will have the need to file for Social Security Disability benefits. The Social Security and Disability Resource Center website (www.ssdrc.com) provides answers to questions concerning how to apply for disability, how to appeal a claim in the event of a denial, how to navigate the federal system, and how to avoid certain mistakes that are commonly made by applicants filing for either SSD (social security disability) or SSI (supplemental security income) benefits.
Written by a former claims examiner, this information may be helpful to many of your site's visitors.
Here is a link to the site: http://www.ssdrc.com/
Thanks in advance for considering adding a link to SSDRC on your site.
All the best,
Tracy Curtis

Hello,
My name is David Davis and I am contacting you on behalf of
MesotheliomaPrognosis.net. I was browsing through a number of community
wellness websites and was impressed by the information you had listed.
You have a great website and it is very easy to navigate through. Most
people do not understand how dangerous and deadly Asbestos can be.
Asbestos is a mineral fiber that has been used commonly in a variety of
building construction materials for insulation and as a fire-retardant.
Exposure to Asbestos can lead to Mesothelioma which is one of the most
deadly cancers known to man. Our website provides a comprehensive list
of doctors, cancer centers, and treatment options. We aim to provide
hope to the families of those who have been affected by this deadly
disease.
Mesothelioma is a very aggressive cancer so patients and their families
may struggle when determining the best treatment option. At
mesotheliomaprognosis.net we aim to provide information to help improve
survival rates, reduce pain, and increase quality of life. There has
been many advancements for the treatment of Mesothelioma in recent
years, and we strive to provide the most up-date information on these
treatments. Asbestos exposure is a real threat, and we would like to
team up with your organization to spread awareness on this issue.
I was hoping that you would consider adding our link information as
well. Please feel free to contact me by replying to this email. Thanks
again for your time, and have a great day!
Sincerely,
David Davis

Good Morning Jim Diodon,
I came across your website today and noticed we share a similar interest in the health and wellness of our veterans. Your site is very detailed and extensive. You offer a great deal of information and links to veterans, submarines, and Christian sitea. With this being said, my name is Rachel Jones and I am the Awareness Administrator for Mesothelioma Prognosis. As you are probably aware, mesothelioma is one of the deadliest forms of cancer today. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most misunderstood diseases in recent times and continues to cause extensive harm. However, our site, http://www.mesotheliomaprognosis.org, is an excellent resource to learn about the dangers of this disease. Members of the U.S. Armed Services have not only dedicated their lives to their country, but are also unfortunately the most common victims of mesothelioma due to their increased risk of exposure to asbestos. The military has used asbestos in various aspects of work and construction and ultimately affected close to one million individuals of the 25 million veterans in the U.S. I noticed on your resource links page, http://diodon349.com/Site_Main_Pages/submariners.htm, that you direct visitors to other health-related websites. I would be grateful if you shared our site with visitors on your links page to help raise awareness of the risk mesothelioma poses to veterans. Ideally, this would be a single text link to Mesothelioma Prognosis. I look forward to your response. I hope you have a great rest of the day!! Thank you, Rachel Jones Awareness Administrator rachel@mesotheliomaprognosis.org (New 10-06-11) |

Subject: Little known health risks facing Navy vets
To whom it may concern,
Good morning, my name is Melissa Everett. While searching the Internet for asbestos cancer, mesothelioma, and Navy asbestos exposure, I came across your website at http://diodon349.com/. I think it is great that vets are able to use this website as a tool to stay in touch with each other. The pictures were also very entertaining, its nice to see the camaraderie that follows even after the service. Your dedication to the website clearly shows your passion for your country, constitution and for other war-time veterans. The external links that you provide are useful also. War veterans were aware of the dangers they faced when entering the military, what they may have not known about was the danger that would linger with them for many years to follow.
At asbestos.net, The Online Asbestos, Asbestos Cancer, & Mesothelioma Authority, not only do we offer you extensive information on asbestos exposure. We also have information on asbestos-induced cancers, mesothelioma as well as how they are related to Navy vets, at one convenient location. It is a very informative site that is solely concentrated on the knowledge of, and the issues stemming from, exposure to asbestos. This gives us the ability to be the leading authority on the issue, and provides a secondary resource for your readers who may be looking for more information regarding mesothelioma. An example of an article that may be of interest to your readers in particular would be available at http://www.asbestos.net/occupations/us-navy-veterans.html. This article provides readers with information regarding asbestos exposure in and around the Navy ships that were constructed after WWII. It provides information about the diseases that are caused by asbestos exposure, and also provides information about some ships still being used that still contain the same insulation that contained the asbestos. We also have an article related to asbestos exposure to sailors and deckhands, that article can be found at http://www.asbestos.net/occupations/sailors-and-deckhands.html. I believe that your readers could benefit from this information as many of them, may have been exposed to asbestos. As you take a look at these articles, I urge you to explore the rest of the issues covered on our site and see how we can really handle most if not all of the issues that readers to your site may face. We're always looking for new partners to spread the word by providing free, original content, if you do find this information helpful, please add our link so that through this collaboration we can better equip your readers with all of the information that they need regarding asbestos cancer, mesothelioma and navy asbestos exposure.
Thank you for your time, and if you should have any questions or comments, feel free to email me personally at melissa.everett@asbestos.net or call me directly at 585-815-1365. Since I am aware that you may be too busy to respond immediately, I will follow up in about a week if I don't hear back from you. Thank you again, and have a nice day.

U.S. Navy Veterans & Asbestos Exposure / Mesothelioma - Asbestos.net
Good Afternoon,
I'm Emma and thanks for taking a second out of your day to
read this E-mail. I'm just inquiring quickly about how to
get a resource on your site adjunct.diodon349.com. I've been
looking through websites with health resources in them in
the hope that they include information on mesothelioma.
Thats how I came across your health related veterans's
pages. I'm attempting to raise awareness about the subject
of asbestos exposure and the deadly disease it causes. I saw
that your site already has a link to maacenterorg, which is
a very good site. Perhaps mesolink.org has additional
information that could raise awareness about the dangers of
asbestos and deadliness of mesothelioma?
Moreover, I encourage you to visit mesolink.org
http://www.mesolink.org
and see if you'd like to share this extra resource with your
colleagues or site's visitors. Asbestos is such a dangerous
mineral that affects so many people. I hope we can help
spread further awareness about the topic, because so much of
the exposure to asbestos was due to worker's and individual
lack of understanding. Feel free to let any writers you
might have use mesolink.org as a resource for Mesothelioma -
A Veteran's Issue, an American Issue ** or on any other
domains you might have.
Feel free to get in contact with any questions or comments
you might have. I have included the URL code of mesolink.org
at the bottom of the E-mail. I hope the site provides more
information on this important subject.
Thanks for your time,
Emma Connor

The Asbestos &
Mesothelioma Resource Center
I just spent some time on your Jim's Diodon,
American Patriot & Veteran, Sub & Submariner Web
Site website, and I believe that the information, as
well as the services, that you provide are really
helpful for your viewers. It is also an appropriate
portal for those who are dealing with mesothelioma,
a cancer that is still sadly almost virtually
unknown despite its seriousness. My name is Molly,
and I'm with Asbestos.Net, which I think could be
useful resource for your readers. Your website
provides your viewers with pertinent inspection
resources, and an issue that is becoming highly
publicized is the high rate of people today who are
starting to deal with the pain of asbestos related
diseases. Mesothelioma, specifically, is a type of
lung cancer that more people are interested in as a
growing number of individuals are diagnosed with it.
We have a page based specifically on asbestos cancer
at
www.asbestos.net/
that provides valuable insight and facts.
We (The Asbestos & Mesothelioma Cancer Resource Center) concentrate solely on the knowledge of, and the issues stemming from asbestos exposure. So in our efforts to provide patients, care givers, and even potential patients with every treatment option possible to help fight this heartbreaking disease, we ask for your support by providing a link from your website to ours. The more information that is out there, the more support people suffering may receive as the dangers of Asbestos and mesothelioma gain more exposure. Original content is also something we can provide for you, as our editorial team writes articles about current issues around mesothelioma.
You will notice some characteristics separating us from the typical mesothelioma website. We are Oncologist reviewed and have accompanying videos on many of the pages, for those who may be hard of seeing or who want to utilize the ease these videos provide. We also have credible and thorough content, around 2200 pages worth, that remains our central purpose.
If you do choose to include us as a resource, please drop me a quick email letting me know. As I realize you may be busy, I will follow up with you in the following couple of weeks.
