As a plank owner of Diodon, I enjoyed the Alaska stories, some additions or corrections follow,

[#1.]  When we got underway, the four boats were side by side.  Things were going good until one of the boats had a major electrical problem and lost all propulsion for a short period of time.

The loss caused the boats to start drifting astern, so we broke up the four abreast and got underway on our own.

#2.   Boberick not only lost the heaving line when he ran up to the bull nose to heave it out to one of the boats that was bringing back out [the] torpedo that we had fired but he also lost a shipmates fishing rod when he tried to make a cast and forgot to hold on.

#3.   The fish we fired at the Washington Glacier? was a mark 18. If I recall it right, the cumshaw guys radio talk was picked up by some Navy people in Seattle who called the Army people at the base in Alaska.

I still keep in touch with Platia (RM1), Stemp (TM1) and Wilson (CTM)

I am Jim Tobin (TM2).
