Comments: Got a call from Dick Robinson and I was excited and will keep in touch with him. Also I remember the marine who sat in the radio shack for that patrol in 69 (I think). I also remember sitting on fish in forward room with him with something called torpedo juice.

Don
Thanks for the response & all the info. Tom Lapka was the guy who ran the radio shack during our Westpac, and helped keep me squared away (I was Comm Officer). He's a great guy, and I would love to get in touch with him, and will call him today.
I had confused you with another guy, whose name was actually Mizner, I believe.

Zero Bubble, and Green Board to you.

Dick Robinson

Dick,

Thanks for the inquiry.

I was on the Diodon from Dec '54 to Aug '57. I was an ET.

We have quite a roster of ex "D" sailors and have had 3 reunions in the last 3 years. We usually "piggyback" our reunion with the US Sub Vets national convention - last Sep in Reno. We had 68 at the Diodon banquet in Reno.

Tom Lapka was on the "D" from 67-70. He lives in Parma, OH. Tlf 440-842-9465. I met Tom at the reunion in Duluth, MN in 2002.
