Ahoy Shipmates:

I located a few more Diodon shipmates.
Tony Valente is in Santa Rosa, CA. His e-mail address is Tony@cbcwebs.com . I sent him a note, but no response so far. He made the 56-57 Westpac cruise.

LT Robert J Maxwell is in Coronado, CA. His e-mail address is goldolphinm@netscape.net. Also sent him a message, but no reply yet.He also made the 56-57 Westpac cruise.

Bob Gary, YN1, was the Yeoman when we went into Hunters Point in early '55. He preceded Dale Griswold and Terry Murphy. He is not on the Jun 55 Sailing List because he was over at the Naval Hospital in Oakland having some operation and then got discharged before he could return to the "D". Bob lives down by Chattanooga, TN but is thinking of moving to Florida. His e-mail address is r.o.gary@worldnet.att.net

Gerald W. Jones appeared on the Duluth, MN Base USSVI Roster. Indicated he had qualified on the "D". I remembered him as an EN1. Sure enough, the Jun '55 Sailing List had him on it. I located him in the town of Ogilvie, MN which is about 100 mile north of Minneapolis on US Highway 169. Had a good chat with him over the phone. He retired as a Warrant Officer. Now we have three ex Diodon shipmates in the Duluth Base of USSVI. Jones, Alaniva and me.

Play around with web site http://www.patchmart.com/ for other boats you may have been on.

The planning for the USSVI National Reunion in Duluth is making good progress. See the latest issue of American Submariner.

Pivo, Thanks for the input on the picture. We'll get them identified sooner or later.

Haven't got a new e-mail from Sweetpea yet. Anyone ?
