Hi JIm,

I was aboard Diodon sometime in 1966 for a very short trip from Yokosuka back to San Diego.

They lost so many men to transfers to bleeding ulsers that they couldn't get underway. I was on my way to USS SALMON so they gave me a detour for a few months.

I qualified on USS RATON AGSS 270 15 Mar 63. Other boats USS TANG, USS SABALO,  and 18 months on  USS ENTERPRISE  punishment for droping out of nuc school 1963.  After that Big E made a cruise around the world and at the end of the cruise I got EMB and orders to USS TANG  in Pearl, no complaints.

I was active Navy from July 61 to April 70 and then USNR until 1988 when I retired.

I was a construction electrician DuPage Co, Il. IBEW 701 for 28  years - retired 1998 and I was an instructor at Basic Electrical School , Great Lakes - employed by San Deigo City College until 2000 when a small stroke ended me working. Now three times RET.

This year' s been very good to me
