Christmas 1949 on Diodon

I am Norm Jensen.

I served one patrol aboard the Queenfish on lifeguard duty at Truck, and then the 7th patrol aboard the Cod along the coast of China (Gulf of Siam). I was qualified aboard the Queenfish, and was a MoMM3c on Queenfish and made MoMM2c on the Cod.

During both patrols, I was in a excess of compliment as a combat photographer. On the Queenfish, there wasn't much action, but on the Cod we had plenty of action. (Hit www.USSCOD.Org   - hit Blenny) That is just part of a lot of action.

What I am writing about is that I had the pleasure of being aboard the Diodon on the 1949 December cruise to Mexico to Acapulco, Mexico, and was able to get a card making me a GUPPY member. I was mustered out of the training trip on Christmas day, and that is another story.
