Jim,
What a great site!! I was on the Dirty D as an ET from late 68 until early 70. What a great boat and crew. I have seen a few of them tonight while digging through your site. Fantastic job!!!
I will check back in very soon.
Thank YOU!

I qualified on Diodon during the 1969 West-Pac. It was a great trip. We had
"Alley Runner" patch's made in Japan. We got a load of "bad" fuel in Pearl on
our way over, burned up every injector we had in stock, limped into Toyko bay on
one engine and the battery.
I have slides of that trip (somewhere) if anyone is interested I could try to locate them. When through an intrum drydock at National Steel in preparation for the WestPac in '70.
I got an early out then. Would like to hear from the gang.
Smooth sailing and clear sky's.
