Andrew "Andy" C. Feindt
In Jul USSVI, and SV WWII lost a very good shipmate. Shipmate Andy Feindt, 76 passed away 28 July 2001.
Andy joined SUBVETS Groton Base in 1995 as a Life member, and inducted into the prestigious HOLLAND CLUB in 1998.
He qualified Submarines onboard the S-12 (SS 117) in 1942.
He also served onboard:
USS TILEFISH (SS 307),
USS DIODON (SS 349),
USS BOARFISH (SS 327),
USS QUILLBACK (SS 424),
USS ARGONAUT (SS 475), and
USS IREX (SS 482), retiring as an
EMC(SS) in 1962.
Shipmate Feindt was also the Past Chapter President of the Thames River
Chapter of SUBVETS WWII, and was recently serving as the CT State Commander,
SUBVETS WWII, as well as a member of the SUBVETS Groton Base Board of
Trustees.
