As a titular Curator Emeritus of the U.S. Naval Submarine Museum at Groton, Connecticut, I maintain an interest in elderly submarines and grizzled submariners such as the aforementioned husband who was on the USS Diodon (SS349) for many years in San Diego.

Next he taught at the Naval Submarine School in New London, Connecticut.
