Reported onboard in Jan 52,TM1(SS) from REMORA (SS-487),then left for ten week availability at MINSY, Vallejo to replace our snorkel induction piping plus a few libs on Georgia St.

"Moon" Mullins, Bill Welsh, Shorty Musser, Ledgerwood and Zeiller were in FTR and I was in the ATR, with Catalina.

In latter part of 53 Vern Speed went to the FTR, and Dutch Kneuer went to the ATR and I took over the deck gang. Dutch left the boat and Norfleet and Volker came aboard, and went to the ATR.

Easil Morris, ENC was the COB.  After the 54 WESPAC cruise I left, and went to RASHER (SSR-269).

I had 33 months of good duty on DIODON, she was a great boat. After RASHER, went to TILEFISH, I was commissioned, and then recomissiond PERCH (APSS-313) at MINSY.

Last tour of duty was on staff, COMSUBPAC, as Chief Inspector, Nuclear Weapons Inspections and Nuclear Weapons Safety Officer. Retired a LCDR, after 27 years on 1 July l973.
