Subject: GREAT JOB.

Jim! Great Job (on posting the ...Shake-Down Cruise..), that was fast.

On that shake down cruise article I was trying to keep it short yet make it interesting. At one point it was three pages long.. Their was a lot more to the exercise then I wrote. We had surface ships/boats and aircraft looking for us.. You are going to ask did they find us ? the answer "YES" more then once....

The poker games ran from the time we left San Diego to Acapulco. Two games, six men each. On the way back we had the poker games going but the chips were pennies, we were all broke....Just something to make the time go faster....In poker, this was the first and only time that I had Two Pair !of fours,,(Four fours) Four of anything.. I started with about 5 or 6 dollars as I remember, I loaned a close buddy 20 and still had one heck of a time in Acapulco.

I spent most of my on duty time in either the forward or after battery compartments and received a battery acid sun burn... The only thing good about the job was no limit on the showers....I had better "shut up" I don't want you to get tired of me..

Agn ! GREAT Job........73....roGer...wa6aft...
